It can be a little overwhelming being a contractor for the first time. The CKI Contractor Care team will support you through every step of your engagement. This starts with the onboarding stage where we set you up with a contract, a contractor profile in CKI HRIS as well as any necessary set up in our client systems. We will walk you through any timesheeting requirements and outline how and when you will be paid. From there, it’s about working directly with your client manager to get underway with your assignment. CKI Contractor Care will be here to answer any questions throughout your contract.
When you are contacted by the CKI Contractor Care team to commence your onboarding we will ask you how you wish to be engaged. Your options are:
PAYG (Pay As You Go) Contractor – where CKI will do everything for you, including pay you according to our fortnightly pay cycle deducting tax and super; remitting your superannuation payments to your nominated superannuation fund; covering you for all insurances (workers compensation, public liability and professional indemnity), and paying all statutory costs.
This option removes any administrative burden and only requires you to complete and submit approved timesheets each week – CKI will do the rest.

In some circumstances this can be a lower amount, however it will need to be approved by an authorised CKI representative.
Yes you do. A compliant tax invoice must be submitted, CKI will provide an example template in onboarding documentation.

Superannuation payments are paid quarterly in line with ATO guidelines. They are paid as at the end of each quarter.
Yes, email the CKI Contractor Care team and we will complete an Employment Verification for you, usually within 24 hours.
Discuss and communicate your plans to your client manager and let CKI Payroll team know the dates you will be away so we will not expect timesheets and/or invoices. As a contractor you get to determine your availability to contract, but CKI would expect this would be discussed upfront with your client manager.
You can manage all your personal details via the CKI HRIS (desktop and mobile app). This information will be provided to you during your onboarding.
Discuss with your client manager in the first instance. If you require additional help and support please contact the CKI Contractor Care Team.
